After game was released (and there were no maps to my knowledge at the time) the towns I reached after Ascalon were Sardelic Sanitarrium, and Pikens square, and in order to explore more I had to go to pikens for higher level henchment and then go all the way down (past ranik, since i never knew it existed same for northern wall) and ended up finally making it to sardelic after a few computer/internet crashed resulting in restarting multiple times.....so i kinda know how you feel there lol
