they are no mesmers or monks to fight so i dont see why you cant solo it. Am stcuk on defend north kryta myself, never get round to getting a full group...
It shouldn't be too hard to solo, considering you don't have to take the NPC along with you. They are all either casters or ranged as far as I know, so a typical 55 SoJ/SoA build would work.
If you wont to know how to get high lvl hench for Defend Northern Kryta Province just start from Temple of Ages and then head to Northern Kryta Province. lol its that easy.
Ok, let's put our heads together and figure out how he did it.
first off you can see he's an elementalist from the armor - 15k aeromancers.
from there i'd go on to guess that he's a E/R running a never ending obsidian flesh build - something like t his:
Obsidian flesh
Serpents Quickness
Storm Chaser (very good energy management - titans do elemental)
aura of restoration - x
troll unguent
stone daggers
kinetic armor
armor of earth
it would be really slow with only stone daggers as damage, but it could get the job done.
With my monk I just got a single hero then bonded it and let it take over.
Also for defend north kryta quest I believe if you bond that one guard outside the settlement that your suppost to protect then he can get the job done for you.
Note: You must be a good bonder to do so. :P
and later go back outside alone and drop titan items.

Look under my party box. Unless I managed to bring the corpse of a Titan boss with me, I don't think your postulate seems likely :)
It's all in the build I used, which I'm not sharing at present. It's still being tested. I may choose to share it when it's completed, but for now, I'm keeping it secret. I will say that Rogue's suggestion isn't correct, though it does include some ideas that I've had.

I'll give a few hints. I can get 5 pieces of information about the build and equipment used from this screenshot, though my knowing what those hints mean beforehand obviously gives me an advantage.
1. Primary class is indeed Elementalist.
2. I am enchanted.
3. I have armor with +10 armor vs. elements and +10 vs. Lightning (Aeromancer set)
4. I have a Flame's Eye or Stone's Eye (if you look at my forehead you can see a yellow spot)
5. I am wielding a staff (no offhand weapon is visible)
I did not rezone; all but the first objective for the Titans quests reset each time you zone. I will say that I intentionally blacked out enough that it's unlikely that you'll be able to determine the build used. As I said in my last comment, I'm keeping the build secret for the time being :)
