I think taht elona should probably be a buit further down and right, cos the landscapes don't quite match...
Even so, I an't help wondering what is to the east of Tyria.. perhps a land of knights and dragons, with huge grass planes and daylit forests based on medieval England ^ ^
Did you make this up, or is Elona actually situated like that?
In the sulfur wastes there is a portal that will bring you to the crystal dessert (arid sea part) and vice versa. However when you want to travel from the arid sea to the sulfur wastes you 1st have to be able to ride the wurms. Otherwise the ancient forgotten wont let you pass.
"Cantha lies south (of Kryta), across the ocean ... past the ruins of Orr, past the islands of fire, past the crystal lands of burning sun, and beyond the clashing seas. Only the greatest sailors dare such a journey, I assure you."
I wouldn't mind if they did a "History of Orr" campaign. Orr is always mentioned but it sunk into the ocean so we never really got to visit there. So a sort of Guild Wars Prequel would be nice.

That would be an interesting idea but if they did that it has to be really long and some way to travel through time or once we finish we'll be in present day tyria or our existing chars can't get travel to Orr 0_o
i forgot to add this, there should be a edit button but anyways ill add this, there should be an update where theres a warp in the crystal desert and one in north elona that lets you travel in between the two continents that way, that would make a further sense in how some elonians traveled to the crystal desert a thousand years ago seeking ascension

There is one, if you head to the south of the Arid Sea, you will find a forgotten there that, if you have control of the wurms, will teleport you to The Crystal Overlook, he teleports you right next to a guy in crystal overlook who can take you back to the arid sea.
Theres actually a quest you get in the crystal overlook that has you go to the arid sea, then up to kill Kepkhet Marrowfeast, the one that drops the green, Kepkhet's Refuge. You then go back through the teleporter and turn the quest in for its reward.
Um I think the next Chapter might be south of Cantha or north of Tyria like more to the Jungle or the connection between cantha and Elona, exploring the Orr city would be pretty cool and I think it would be kewl if they made like a Tyrian Elite Mission from it lol btw correct me if that would be bad cus I never payed great attention into the full detail of the Orr and one more thing (off topic) Where would Shiro and the Lich go if they were killed in the Realm Of Torrment, if they al already dead how could you kill it? Its confusing mee!!! Oh and Happy soon to be Wintersday everyone! Im being Uber off topic. Also what about west of Tyria, Elona, and Cantha? also if it was north I think an etension to the Maguuma Jungles would be kinda kewl to explore I love that area od Tyria or south of Cantha (I dont like Cantha because its not as explorable or even as big as the other two coninents.
Even though both maps here are good to use as reference, they are still both not placed correctly. The Crystal Overlook is directly south of the Arid Sea, because if you've ever been to the Crystal Overlook, then you can see the giant statue of the Warrior in the Arid Sea. So to be more correct, Elona needs to be shifted more to the right in both maps. Just a little something I noticed. :P
My opinion is that Cantha lies near those Isles in the sea western of the Southern Shiverpeaks THIS makes me believe it. It says that a possible Ofshoot of the Deldrimor Dwarves has been uncovered in the Jade. Or they made a long travel by sea to Cantha, or they passed the Mountains and found the jade sea.
What, so no-ones thought of what lies north of ascalon, or further detail as to were the Charr came from?
there maight be something north of tyria like you said, where the charr come from has got to be answered and i might also add this little interesting thing:
The next expansion for GW would have to follow the same format the previous games followed.
Each game had a theme it based on. Ascolon, obviously dark ages of Europe. Cantha is china/japan based. Elona is Africa based. The next game would obviously be something like this, maybe South America based on the Mayan civilization.
And of course the geographic features of south america would them have to applied to our current map of gw today, then we can guess what the next story will be about and where it will be.
Then theirs the though of some people mentioning the orr,
QUOTE
Orr is always mentioned but it sunk into the ocean so we never really got to visit there.
Just like pre-searing we could have a map seeing how the orr lived and such. But then when there civilization sunk to the depths of the ocean we could be teleported to a new part of the map where our story will continue.
And for the map not being perfect, Our world isnt perfect ether. Sometimes you can read a map and the landscape sometimes doesnt match up ether, maybe because of earthquakes, volcanoes or by meteors. So as far as i know our map of guildwars doesnt have to make sense.
Hmm I so love the GW story line ^^ also there should be a Tyrian Elite mission involving sumhow going into whats left of the Orr city's under the ocean I dont know why Im saying this I just feel like Im in a creative mood (lol)
(dont know how to edit Im a forum newbie) I just read the the Orr Cities are a lil west of the Crystal Desert and the Charr tried to invade the main city of the Orr called Arah or sumthing, something should be added to involve that area of the map it would be interesting to see the ruins of that lost civilization. It also involves the Charr so the Charr going across the dessert? Or it could have been at a time when the Crystal Dessert was an Ocean like they explained on Nightfall so the Charr could have origins like between the Dessert and Ascalon but the Charr also came north of Ascalon and stuff hmm the God's Left Tyria when the Catalysm happened it destroyed the city of Arah so it could have been hunreds of year's ago but how did the Charr pass Ascalon to get to the city of Orr so they could invade it? They could have gone around but Im thinking and Im confuused X_x ooo I cant wait for te next chapter I wanna see what happen's like will it be North of Tyria ect. ^^
Hmm maybe something soth of Cantha or West of Tyria
And the charrs probably did go around Ascalon.
And next chapter must be a copy of a area where there still is fantasy charchters to get into as enemeis maybe Scandinavia or Austrailia
Well, most people are pretty sure its going to be the northlands so thats that lol. But they do need to add an elite misson to the ruins of Orr, lvl 28 undead FTW.
or Margonite maybe cus the Margo's use to roam the Crystal Sea oe w.e it was called + Abbadon caused the citie's of the Orr to fall according to some quest in the Realm Of Torrment though fighting level 28 Undead would be fun and it would give me something to do *sigh* I cant get through the Domain of Anguish its a dark and ebil place!!!
