Due to a server error, Guild Wars experienced an unintentional reset of the traders. For nearly an hour, traders were selling items at unrealistically low prices. Due to the harmful impact that such an event would cause to the game economy, we are rolling back the entire state of the game to shortly before the problem began, that is, to 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time, 21:00 GMT.

Wow, I can't imagine how happy people are going to be who finally Ascended or got that rare green drop they have been wanting at 1:10pm PST. They are gonna be SO HAPPY to go do all that again. Wonder how many people purchased 15K armor at 1:15 PST and are going to get to rerun the whole thing again.

Yep I made this statement in a post, sure this will effect the economy but only temporarily, I am guessing the amount of people that got a rare drop or finished a mission or 2 far outwieghs those who used this time to purchase items.
i stocked up on sooooooooo many sup vigors and absorbs.. about 50 of each.. filled storage and two full inventories =).. i better still have them and my items cuz i spent ALL my run money on them and if i lost it all then its something i can actualy do about it cuz it WAS Anet's mistake and cant exploit my items of that.
i know what you should hae done, baught tons of cheap armor (like ascalon armor) then put the runes on that armor, then salvage them off after they fixed the game... wow!!

I doubt it. I switched to European servers awhile ago. But there was 9 english districts, 6 german districts, 7 french districts. in DROKS........that being only 1 of the towns you can get this stuff from. and this was 5 minutes before they locked traders down. Usually there is no more then 4-5 english districts (less for the others), but this time there was a total of 22 districts in a single town. The only time i saw a town with more was during the christmas event (i wasnt at the halloween event).
I dunno about you, but when was the last time you've seen a mission town or common skill-capping/group farming town with a combined total of 22 districts or more(acually 24 if you count the 1 spanish and w/e the last one is)?

Punisher, they are rolling back the server, which means you will have ALL your money back.
Tw1tchdp: Rollback means you will be exactly like you were before the glitch happened, therefore any armor you bought will no longer be there.
I had just finished a mission, then rushed to buy tons of runes and rare crafting material (didnt think of black dyes) for me and my guild. I am probably going to lose everything (and get my money back) but I guess its fair for those who werent there when it happened and didnt get to buy sup runes, etc.
Also fair for those who got ripped off (everywhere there were assholes selling the runes they had just bought for 250gp for 5-15k+. I think of the newer player for which this was a big investment and that could have got it for 250gp, shame on you people taking advantage of newbies).
If it's a rollback you 'should' have your Storm Bow in inventory and the person you sold to will have 100 + 5 Ecto, IF they do the rollback to a time before your trade was completed.
I applaud Anet for rolling back the servers. I'm pleased with the Anet Team; they really care about their game. If this was Blizzard they would still be oblivious to any errors.
Yeah rollback is like going back in time...everything is reverted...money, items you found, things you sold and missions...everything...sucks for those who did missions and found items, but not bad for ppl that sold stuff...plus im gald ppl dont have that many sup vigors and ectos and shard...that would seriously hurt the gameplay for everyone
I agree A-NET had only one choice and that was a rollback...sucks for anyone out there that wasnt exploiting the screw up..but i think perhaps a-net should take a little less time nerfing everything in site and spend more time making sure these kind of things dont happen..so we dont have to deal with these interruptions and headaches
I guess I don't feel bad, I just have to go back to Fort Ranik in Pre and get 2 pieces of armor,,,,lol The being stuck in Barradins Estate like a sardine with 20 whacked out individuals not being able to zone or map is another story though.. Good Luck to everyone who ascended during this time.
all I can say is, if they ascended during this time, they should remember what they did. Then they can do it again :) the worst part of everything in the game is doing everything for the first time :)
cool wouldnt have minded a market crash personally the first thing people are going to do is buy all the assasin sup runes and horde them driving the price up.
How can you be so selfish as to being mad at Anet because you could not sell all those runes at insane prices after the reset??

Fools, why stock up on superior vigor ? buy the ones you need for chars then buy as many superior absorptions thats what i did when the original trader reset happened like 4 months ago as superior absorptions you make a huge profit from
Lol i was offline for all of it logged the next morning and i was like "OMG!!!!!" but then my friend told me that they didnt get to keep it all so i felt better. And Yidd you would have bought it all
no, didnt loose em, people still got thier stuff, saw ppl selling tons of ectos in LA today so i dont think they're lost unless you got dc'ed while playing...so u should give me a discount on one :D
