Ok.......For those of you who are waiting for the upcoming 2008 realease of GW 2, but dont know what it is going to offer, I have the answer right here.......keep in mind, i am not plagerizing, but these are from numerous different fansites, interviews, and things, that lead me to this information.
1. The level cap will definetly be raised. It has been stated that it could be 150, or even no level cap at all.
2. Private severs will be gone. No longer are the times when you and your party could explore in a quiet undisturbed world. There will now be 1 big world, (just like WoW),where everyone can interact with everyone any where anytime,not just inside towns and such, but with multiple servers(Not like WoW..lol)
3. Pointing and clicking where you want to go will be a thing of the past. This will be b/c GW is making new system called the G-Axis, which will allow players to jump, slide, climb, and even swim.
4. World versus world....the new PvP experience....this will allow players from 2 different countries to play against eachother. Just like a real war......you can either take the front lines, climb a tree, and warn your team against advancing enemy, or be a suppot charachter healing or causing destruction to the opposing team.
5. There are new playable charachter races, which will be seen, but not playable in GWEN.
Norn.......Nomadic race of people, that can transform into half bears.
Asura......not alot known about them...they are said to be like goblins but with highly advanced telekenetic abilities.
Sylvia.....Tree people
Char.......We all know them......the wolfish giagantic beasts that terrorized Tyria back in the day.
Humans.....Just your basic human....no word if there will be new human classes yet.
6. It will still be F2P(free to play)
7. You will have to start a complely new character in GW2....scince it takes place 250 years into the future.
8. You will have the ability to make compainions......whcich will basically be a hro, without taking up a party spot....used for filling in any weaknesses that your character might have.
9. Anything that you choose to store in the Hall of HEros(in GWEN) will be transferred to your GW 2 account when it comes out........(a lvl 1 with obsidian ....lmao)
10. There will be tons of events going on that will be triggered by any one players actions........scince everyone will be in the same world at the same time with no load screen, you will be able to make a party with the hundereds of ppl walking around.

This is all I have now folks....but i will add more as i find out more......Hope this makes you drool for GW 2 lol!
EDIT: More Things i hae Found Out about GW 2!!
1. Definite 2008 Release (late 2008)
2. Beta Testing will be starting in Early 2008.
3. The WHOLE world will be fully persistent.
4. Hall Of Monument Rewards:
Unique Compainions
Unique Armor
Unique Looks
5. Free to play.
Umm...thats a little more lol...so ya....keep checking this for up to date news, b/c ill be adding more and it will be ever changing.

Well this is pretty much old News. But for ppl who dont know about this yet, read on.
And actually, it wont be a 2010 release, its more closer than u think. Its likely a late 2008 to mid 09 release! The game engine wont change that much! So its not like they are recreating a whole new game engine.

I've known this for a while now.
And I think that the open beta testing takes place in 2008. Im pretty sure they said to expect a 2009-2010 release date.

I have a question, have been looking at Gaile posts once in a while on Guru, maybe someone has heard more on it and I've just overlooked something thus far.
As far as the Hall of Monuments goes, has it been stated that all the titles/armors/weapons/pets across the account will be added, or will it be per character?
As someone who has multiple titles/pets/armors across many characters, I really am concerned about this, as I've put just as much effort into my achievements as anyone who has the KoaBD title line, except I've spread it all out over multiple characters played about equally rather than focusing on just one. Would hate to lose any GW2 bonuses because I enjoyed multiple characters (and gave Anet more business by buying slots...)
Any info on this yet?

NOOOOOOOOOO big world i hate them.
the thing i love bout guildwars is the time to ones self when a map is cleared when you can just sit and gaze at the scenery . no more of that. nope now well have evryone running all over the place saying stupid things.
and well have spawn stealers camp stealers item drop stealers. all those problems that one massive world will create. i hate it its horrible. other stuff sounds nice though. ahh no more proper soloing. BOOOOOO ANET BOOO SHAME ON YERS

guns? lol maybe for the dwarfs but idk us and plus isnt gw like midevial type...but it would be intrestin lol....and first time ive seen this maybe theyll be more special events due to it bein big world....any info on harnesses yet?

i think i can safely say tht much of GW2 will bassically be WOW but with neat grphics and free to play - with all these dragon flys to raid and this persitance world thing? seriuosly..i wont be surprised if they mention a subscribtion fee after a few months of release even they are saying they aint gona.
sry if i ruined anything but it really worries me too much lol, GW isnt meant to be a more traditional MMO but something unique to other MMOs as it is now and GW2 sounds a bit like wow-ish etc:(

Hey, go after the facts, WoW has more online gamers then GW's, even though GW's players dont have to pay each month.
WoW has IMO features GW's doesn't have, giving WoW a different gaming ''sensation'', its all too logical that Anet decides to put some of WoW's good stuff in their box of toys too, its what happens all the time.
One game scores good, another one scores average, then its obvious its time to look how the other guys are doing it :P
I dont mind, i keep away from all the fuzz, its in bloody 2 years, i dunno if im still ''all the way'' into MMORGP's at all.

hmmm well it should be interesting to see what they make and how it works but I've been impressed with the way anet have handled gw 1. All tho I have my issues with wow and people are clearly drawing on the similarities (despite the fact that similarities between rpg and the game mechanics of a board game seem to far out weigh any other similarity.
*neatly folds "wow vs gw" up* and tucks it next to "linux vs windows", "mac vs pc", "water cooling vs air heating", new mini vs old mini", "nintendo vs sony" and "cat vs dog" pushes the file cabinet off a cliff and waits for a year and a half.

Where exactly did you come up with a date like that? Several interviews stated they were shooting to atleast be in beta in 2009. I doubt they'll manage to be that overly-productive.

i also diasagree that GW will be like WoW but it will bring in problems that are faced by instanced worlds. and these are very hard to counter.ive been in one or two my self.and i dont like the sound of a high lvl cap. will add so much grind. one thing i like bout GW is that it gets ya too the action right away.

Tasty info But if they improve the graphics greatly I won't be able to play it considering my computer is a piece of junk but hopefully by the time it's released ill have a way better computer...And a job ;)

Gaile has repeatedly been vocal about her dislike for boss queuing, drop stealing and endless grinding. If her voice reflects Anets policy with GW2 then I see GW2 taking all the best bits of a persistent world while retaining instanced areas to avoid the pitfalls of other games. I think we are looking at something different and unique, comparisons are bound to happen but are pretty much redundant until we know much more about it. I for one am excited by the idea, Anet have done an awesome job with GW I doubt very much they will do anything less than awesome with GW2 :)
