In Guild Wars, leadership means power, but not much. Even a guild leader needs help managing his own guild.
First of all, the guild leader must find trustworthy people to help him out on the various issues, like PvP officer, recruitment officer, and so on.
Teh officers are the leaders assistants, they ãdvise you on what actions to take. A good leader is always a good listener.
A leader should also learn to hear the members opinions about the guild and try to fulfill them if possible.
A leader is the one that carries the responsibility of the guild. He manages all that needs to be done inside the guild. Of course, a leader needs the cooperation of the guildmates and officers alike to fulfill certain requirements such as buying a Guild Hall for meetings and the cape which symbolizes the guild.
The extras that a leader can implement in a guild that is stable are:
-Free trading inside the guild
-Tournaments
-Role-Play and Knighthood
-Weddings (yes weddings in GW have been made already)
-Farming Officers (officers pick a team of members to set as the official guild farmers)
-Running Services (same thing as farming officers but with runners)
-Forum Prizes (similar to the FK guild that uses rings related to an accomplishment and give them to the members to put on the signature space of the forums.)
-Ranks in the guild (not just officer. a member can be awarded a special rank without having to be officer.)
-The Guild's unique Lore (also taken from the FK guild which has a wonderful story)
Although all of these are already in GW, many guilds only have 1 or 2 features i mentioned above, but with a good leader and a strong guild foundation, these features together in a guild can reach the ultimate guild wars experience.
